Who We Are

We Believe...

The Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

That there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the deity of Jesus Christ; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.

That for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

The Kingdom of God is the New Testament expression for the eternal rule of Christ among and within the community of believers. In this world we are called to expand this Kingdom and to reveal its nature and power.

It is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion.

Academic Objective
Our academic objective is simple: teach students the values of Kingdom Transformation within their chosen academic track of emphasis utilizing the environments of both classroom and hands on experience from which they will demonstrate a sustained practice of those values. This is the measure that genuine learning has taken place.

To facilitate this objective, our classes will be include the following:

- learning community format for dialogue
- Content that includes both thinking and contemporary practice
- Coach-mentors for each students
- Kingdom Projects to help facilitate application of learning

Academic Process
Those students seeking graduate study with CTS will first select an academic track of emphasis in the following areas: government, education, business or church ministries. Courses, projects and internship assignments uniquely related to each track will be offered. In addition, all CTS students will enroll in a series of Core Curriculum courses and seminars that concentrate on the general principles of the transformation and values of God’s Kingdom.

Academic Tools
In achieving its objectives, CTS will employ an assortment of learning tools that help tailor each student’s experience to best fit their individual needs and goals:

Seminars and “one-on-one” sessions with key leaders in each academic track of emphasis.

Interactive courses facilitated by mature leaders and ministers from the local community.

Partnering leadership mentors – each student will be teamed with a leader in their academic track of emphasis for personal mentoring and development.

Hands-on projects that connect the student directly into the framework of the local community in a way that benefits the student and well as churches, schools, businesses and political agencies.

Exposure to a diverse expression of ministry and leadership – from which a balanced model for personal ministry can be forged.

Affiliations
One of the fundamental values of the Center for Transformation Studies is the need for tangible unity to be demonstrated among local churches within a community – this is essential to community transformation. CTS has worked hard to create a diverse board of directors that will hold this value steadfastly; ensuring that the faculty, curriculum, and practices of the school reflect a full cross section of the Body of Christ within the local community.

Defining Transformation
Transformation, as we recognize it, is the measurable shift from self-centered life and lifestyle, to an increase awareness and alignment to a God, and an influence marked by greater acts of love and kindness within a community and/or region. This transformation can occur on varying scales from the individual level, to entire people groups and sectors of society. Learn more...
